While breweries might not be what comes to mind first for a kid-friendly atmosphere, Brewcouver takes serving up welcoming spaces for all to a new level. Find 3Peaks just north of Vancouver in Ridgefield for a field to run in with scattered picnic tables among food trucks and a variety of taps to try. If you're looking to stay closer to downtown, Heathen Brewing's Feral Public House has an expansive patio perfect for loud chatter and antsy little legs. Their kids menu includes the classics: Mac N Cheese, Chicken Strips, Quesadilla, and more. On Vancouver's eastside, Hopworks Urban Brewery has a small play area upstairs, a kids menu with pretzel-wrapped hotdogs and cheesy personal pizzas, and a big patio for warmer days. Specializing in loading your pizza up with tons of toppings, Juliano's is a long-running family joint for a laidback meal. East Vancouver's Leonardo's offers creative menu items like Kids PB&J Pizza and Mac N' Cheese Wedges among an extensive line-up of pizzas, salads, and taps. Head to Billygan's Roadhouse where you are welcomed with a bowl of peanuts, and throwing the shells on the floor is encouraged! This casual family restaurant has video games and corndogs to delight the kids. Ridgefield's newest public house, BevRidge, keeps little ones in mind with their kids meal served in reusable bento boxes and healthy side options. Kids can enjoy a throwback to the 50s too—find Stardust Diner for banana splits and milkshakes alongside vintage jukeboxes and barstool counter seating. If boba tea and mochi donuts are on the cravings list, Short and Sweet is a cute spot for just that, located in the heart of downtown on Main Street. While sports bars don't tend to be at the top of the list when little ones are in tow, Playmakers Bar & Grill has a kid side until 9 p.m. with an extensive kids menu including gameday drinks and mocktails, breakfast items served until noon on weekends, and eight lunch and dinner options.
