Felida & Lake Shore
Although largely residential, the neighboring communities of Lake Shore and Felida share a close tie to the popular Vancouver Lake.
The calm, shallow waters of the lake create an ideal spot for kayakers, canoeing, and stand up paddleboarding. With two-and-a-half miles of sandy shores and scenic park grounds, the lake is regularly frequented by dog walkers and picnickers. Visit during the summer to watch collegiate rowing events and dragonboat races.
On the northeast side of the lake, Felida is emerging as a new hot spot for locally sourced eats and drinks. Stop by Mt. Tabor Brewing’s Pub to enjoy a craft brew and decadent pizza topped with roasted strawberries, crispy fried chicken, or parsnip puree. If craft cocktails are more your scene, head down the road to Farrar’s Bistro for small bites and inventive drinks composed of house-made syrups and fresh fruits.
