This beloved annual celebration kicks off the season with intention, featuring several family-friendly activities including a craft project, sound meditation, solstice-themed poetry by Christopher Luna, and yoga with A Space to Bloom. The yoga practice offers a peaceful, centering welcome to summer — please bring a mat if you plan to join.
The Fort Vancouver National Historic Site is just a 15-minute walk from downtown Vancouver or a quick five-minute drive (parking is available at the Visitor Center). This Summer Solstice Celebration is hosted by The Historic Trust and is a FREE event open to all.
Summer Solstice Celebration Schedule 5:30 PM – Informal gathering; begin craft activity 6:00–6:45 PM – Poetry reading 7:00–8:00 PM – Yoga on the lawn, closing with sound meditation 8:00–8:30 PM – Continue craft activity
