Downtown Washougal will shine bright on Thursday, December 4, 2025, when the City of Washougal hosts its annual Lighted Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting at Reflection Plaza. This free community celebration has become a beloved local tradition, drawing visitors from near and far each first Thursday of December, to welcome the holiday season with lights, music, and plenty of cheer.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. in Reflection Plaza (Pendleton Way, Washougal, WA). Guests will enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa while the Washougal High School Band performs holiday favorites. Santa Claus will hand out candy canes and pose for selfies from 5 to 6 p.m. — please note that pets should stay outside the photo area due to Santa’s allergies.
At 6 p.m., the lighted parade makes its way through downtown, featuring floats, vehicles, and walkers decked out in sparkling displays. When the parade concludes, Santa leads the countdown to light the city’s Christmas tree, followed by a community sing-along led by the Washougal High School Choir.
