The Historic Covington House, established in 1848, is the oldest house in the State of Washington, and was originally owned by Richard and Charlotte “Anne” Covington, schoolteachers who had come to the Pacific Northwest to operate a boarding school for the children of the Hudson Bay Trading Company.
