The Parkersville Advisory Committee (PAC), in partnership with the Port of Camas-Washougal and the Community Garden Club of Camas-Washougal, invites volunteers of all ages to the annual Spruce-Up Day on May 12, 2026 from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Community members will gather at Parker’s Landing Historical Park to protect and beautify this nationally recognized historic site. As a vital cultural landmark, the park requires ongoing stewardship to maintain its heritage trees, rose gardens, and ancestral stories dating back to the 1800s.This park is more than just green space; it’s a living history book for our community. With the support of the Port and our local garden club, we are working to ensure the site remains a beautiful and safe place for families to explore their roots. Activities will include weeding, clearing debris, and preparing the grounds for the upcoming summer Parkersville Heritage Fair.
Managed by the Port of Camas-Washougal and supported by the Parkersville Heritage Foundation, this site relies on the dedication of local "Hometown Heroes." No prior experience is necessary. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gardening gloves, hand tools, and a spirit of service.
