The Parkersville Advisory Committee (PAC), in partnership with the Port of Camas-Washougal, is proud to announce the Parkersville Heritage Fair on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Parker’s Landing Historical Park. This year’s theme, "Shared Roots & Legacy," serves as a local centerpiece for the nationwide America 250 celebration. The fair will feature an immersive Van Vleet Detective Quest centered in the historic Apple Orchard, where attendees can solve a "living history" mystery while visiting interactive stations hosted by community partners throughout the park. We are more than just a park; we are a living history book for our community," says Vicki Van Vleet Roholt, PAC Volunteer Coordinator and a descendant of the original Van Vleet family. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, it is vital that we connect our local story to the larger American journey by honoring the diverse partners and families who have shaped our shared heritage.
In 2026, the United States commemorates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Parkersville Heritage Fair joins nationwide efforts to reflect on our past and imagine a collective future through the lens of place, people, and community.
The Van Vleet Detective Quest: Start your journey in the Apple Orchard for a mystery hunt featuring clues from 1854 to the present. The first 200 finishers earn an "Official Evidence Treasure Bag" and a chance to win the Founders’ Bounty America 250 grand prize.
Interactive Heritage Stations: Explore history with the Clark County Historical Museum, Two Rivers Heritage Museum, WSU Master Gardeners, and the Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington.
Pop-up Heritage Shop: Purchase local favorites from the Pendleton Woolen Mill Store.
