Native plants are the talk of the town these days – for good reason. There are countless benefits to landscaping with native species. In addition to the benefits native plants provide to wildlife, water usage, and climate impact reduction, they also provide us with a sense of connection and belonging to our time and space. Join Hannah Schrager, owner of the local native plant nursery Good Year Farms, on a stroll in the Clark County Pacific Park Natural Demonstration Garden. This walk will be a native plant meander and informal Q&A session, to inspire you to learn more about the plants and landscaping options we have in our region.
Following the workshop, attendees will be asked to provide 45 minutes of service in the East Vancouver demonstration garden. Bring water and dress for the weather. This workshop is put on in collaboration with Clark County Public Works Green Neighbors Program.
