The largest rose show in Washington State. The Fort Vancouver Rose Society is celebrating its 73rd year of providing rose care education and promoting beautiful roses in our community. The Society will host its 71st Annual Rose Show—A Rosy Affair. The public can enjoy a spectacular and vibrant display of rose competition, including floral arrangements and photography.
Judging of beautiful roses grown in the Pacific Northwest will follow current American Rose Society rules and procedures. Roses include hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, old garden and shrub roses, climbers, miniatures, minifloras, and micro-miniatures, along with arrangements of large roses, miniatures, minifloras, and micro-miniatures. There will also be a Photography section!
Rose exhibit entries (Horticulture) and rose arrangement exhibit entries (Artistic Design) will be accepted from 7:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Photos (5x7) can be mailed to Kathy Fry (13108 NE 22nd Street, Vancouver, WA 98684) to arrive by May 27 or entered in person by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the show, May 30. Novices (including first-time exhibitors) and students (youth 18 and under) are welcome. An Award/Trophy Ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m.
New this year, the show will feature a Garden Market where visitors can purchase rose care and gardening products from local vendors. Additionally, rose care experts—members of The Fort Vancouver Rose Society—will be present to provide information and answer questions about rose care.
Both parking and admission are free, and there is no entry fee for exhibitors.
