Explore and Celebrate the amazing history of Camas on First Friday, April 3rd, 5-8pm. Take part in a historic walking tour, art shows, a photo contest, history info activities, after-hours shopping, dining, games, prizes, and more! Oh the fun!
Capture Camas history! Share your modern photos and help others see your town in a whole new light! We are excited to share the 4th Annual black and white photography contest for April’s “Spring into History” First Friday! The “Capture Camas History Contest” is seeking black and white photography submissions of all things Downtown Camas! Think architecture, art, friends, family, food, fun, and more! History happens now, and we want to see your moments of history in the making!
Submit your pictures by emailing high resolution JPEG images along with your name, age, and connection to Camas to promotions@downtowncamas.com. All submissions will be subject to future promotional use by the Downtown Camas Association. Feel free to email with any questions. Submissions will be accepted through 3/31/26.We encourage you to share your images on social media with the hashtag #capturecamashistory! One winner will be chosen by the people at April First Friday, and will receive a special prize from the Downtown Camas Association.

Other Fun First Friday Activities!
- Join a Historic Walking Tour of Downtown with Brad Richardson, Executive Director of the Clark County Historical Museum. Meet at 5:50pm in front of Journey. This tour is rain or shine.
- Two Rivers Heritage Museum history displays in the Journey lobby with museum experts on hand to answer questions and share history stories!
- Make paper in the GP Mill Interpretive Lobby, 401 NE Adams, and learn about mill history including the pictorial mill timeline.
- Peruse the Camas history displays inside Journey and learn why Camas is such an exceptional town.
- Play the “History Game Course” with the DCA inside Journey, 304 NE 4th Ave, and earn tickets to win: GP Toilet Paper Toss, Camas Cornhole, Camas History Plinko and the Camas Prune Drop. Finish the “course” and be entered to win a GP paper prize package.
- Art receptions with refreshments at Attic Gallery, 419 NE Cedar, Gallery 408, 408 NE 4th Ave, RedDoor Gallery, 411 NE Dallas St, featuring $25 drop in flower glass art classes with artist Shirley Bishop; Second Story Gallery, 625 NE 4th Ave.
- Kids Crafts inside Journey Church, 334 NE 4th ave and Papermaker Pride, 339 NE 4th Ave.
- After-hours shopping and dining with so many new offerings for Spring.
