It seems that many brewers across the nation are embracing their local culture and sustainability by with craft batch brews-and Vancouver is no exception. What sets this area apart from others is that not only is Vancouver building itself as a purveyor of flavorful craft brews, but many of these beers-and others produced in Washington-are not available in our neighboring state to the south.
Just within the past year, Mt. Tabor Brewing and Loowit Brewing Company have opened up in downtown, joining Salmon Creek Brewery and a locally-owned bottle shop and taproom, By the Bottle. Add in McMenamins on the Columbia River waterfront and Laurelwood Brewing Co. in Battle Ground, as well as two inaugural brew festivals in downtown, and you have your own Brewtopia right here in Vancouver!
