The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that it will bring the 2017 and 2019 men's and women's cross country national championships back to Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. NAIA last staked claim at Fort Vancouver in 2012.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) will serve as the official host, receiving one men's and women's automatic submission to the championship course, which is a rolling, European-style layout consisting of two kilometer loops on grass. This event will bring hundreds of athletes, coaches, and spectators to explore, shop, and stay in the community.
