GORGEOUS ALDERBROOK PARK TO HOST SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
The park will feature a wide variety of musical genres and family-friendly fun
VANCOUVER, Wash. - In just a few short weeks, the newly renovated Alderbrook Park
Resort will be open to the public for a first-ever opportunity to enjoy live music and food on the
beautifully forested grounds. The four-week concert series will feature family-friendly music
representing a variety of genres.
"These concerts will provide visitors and locals alike the chance to experience this beautiful
private park," said Kim Bennett, president, and CEO of the Vancouver USA Regional Tourism
Office. "The public will also be able to see first-hand the upgrades and renovations that have
been made at the park, which is an ideal location for any event, from weddings to corporate
picnics."
The concerts will take place on the park's Great Meadow Stage, and concert-goers are encouraged
to bring blankets and beach chairs to relax and enjoy the music. A variety of food booths
will offer local picnic favorites and there will be a beer garden for adults. Concerts will be held on Wednesday evenings featuring the following artists:
- July 13: Funk/R&B/Blues Night with the Norman Sylvester Band, featuring vocalist
- LaRhonda Steele and Renato Caranto on saxophone
- July 20: Country music night featuring The Buckles
- July 27: Sizzling Latin Night featuring Ramsey Embick's Ramsey Y Los Montunos Cuban Salsa Band
- Aug. 3: 1980s Pop/Rock Night featuring Stone in Love, a Journey Tribute band
Just 30 minutes northeast of Vancouver, Wash., near Battle Ground and Brush Prairie, the 63-
acre Alderbrook Park is well known as a popular wedding and event venue because of its
expansive forest, inviting fields, beautiful lake, and dock, two bridal houses, myriad of reception
areas, parking for 1,000 cars and capacity for 6,000 people. The expansive park also includes a swimming pool, a miniature golf course, and a volleyball court as well as children's amenities
including a maze and a life-size pirate ship play structure.
The park gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and bands will perform from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets will
be on sale starting July 1 from Brown Paper Tickets (www.brownpapertickets.com /) and are $30
for families, $10 for individuals, and $5 for children younger than 12. For more information on
