Farm Fresh Finds: Vancouver Farmers Market to Reopen this Spring

Every Saturday and Sunday from mid-March through October, local Vancouverites and visitors are drawn to downtown Vancouver USA for Southwest Washington's No. 1 visitor attraction: the Vancouver Farmers Market. The popular open-air market kicks off its 2016 season on March 19th and will be open every weekend, rain or shine, through October 30th.

Visitors can explore over 250 craft vendors and farm stands, and stuff their reusable bag with unique items like a freshly baked artisan bread, hand-crafted jewelry, organic produce, and pet treats for their four-legged friends. Other popular activities at the market include wine and beer tastings from select wineries and breweries and listening to the musical performances of local artists.

After strolling through the market, visitors can grab a bite to eat at a local food vendor, and enjoy their farm fresh finds in the grassy lawn of the adjacent five-acre Esther Short Park. As the oldest public square in the state of Washington, the park features a rose garden, the 69-foot Salmon Run Bell Tower, the historic Slocum House, and a large waterfall fountain feature popular for children in the summertime.
