As a destination, one of Vancouver's best attributes is its ease of accessibility. True, you can drive to the coast in an hour and half or to Seattle in three hours. But what about flying? From Vancouver you can touch down in Los Angeles two and half hours later, or in Hawaii in four hours, but now the airport serving Clark County, the Portland International Airport, is one of the few West Coast airports to have direct, non-stop flights to Washington, D.C.

Think of it as the Washington to Washington connection. Located just minutes from the Portland International Airport, Vancouver USA is easily accessible by air and is getting even easier all the time. Alaska Airlines recently announced that it will run daily direct flights between Portland International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Virginia. The flights, which will begin September 8, will allow passengers to fly to and from the airport located just 25 miles outside of downtown Washington, D.C.
